Her books include“The Designer’s Guide to Marketing and Pricing"(HOW Design Books, Spring 2008), “Stop Pushing Me Around: A Workplace Guide for the Timid, Shy and Less Assertive” (Career Press 2006), “The Art of Self Promotion” (2007) "Self-Promotion Online"and "Designing Web Sites:// for Every Audience" (HOW Design Books). She also co-authored“Public Relations for Dummies, 2nd Edition”(Wiley, 2006) with Eric Yaverbaum and Bob Bly.

This session focuses on learning and applying the typographic skills and aesthetics rarely taught in schools, or fully understood by professionals. Learn how to “see” like you've never seen before.
Ilene Strizver, founder of The Type Studio, is a typographic consultant, designer, writer and educator specializing in all aspects of visual communication from the aesthetic to the technical. Ilene formerly was the Director of Typeface Development for International Typeface Corporation (ITC) where she developed more than 300 notable text and display typefaces. Her book, Type Rules! The designer’s guide to professional typography, has received numerous accolades from the type and design community. Her clients include Agfa Monotype, Linotype, Adobe, Haband, Nassau Guardian, Johnson & Johnson and bethere.com.
