RICHMOND, B.C.—There was lots of celebrating to be had at the Western Magazine Awards in Richmond, B.C. last Friday. Winners in the art categories include:

Randall Watson, art director of Vancouver Magazine was recognized his art direction of article, Sex and the City.

Best cover went to Susie Brown for elemente’s Sept/Oct 2007 issue.

Bowen Island-based illustrator Marian Bantjes won for her illustration My Dear, Can We Work Together? in Vancouver Review.

Photographer James May took home top prize in the architectural, landscape or still life photograph category for his work in Swerve.

Best photographic feature or series went to Kate Szatmari for Fight Club in Ion Magazine.
