SAN JOSE—Adobe has launched the latest update to its Creative Suite toolkit. Designers will be excited to learn that CS4 includes several new features in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
The highlights include InDesign’s new Live Preflight tool that allows designers to catch production errors while they work; the new Content-Aware Scaling tool in Photoshop that automatically recomposes an image as it is resized, preserving important areas of an a photo as it adapts to new dimensions; and Illustrator now allows you to have up to 100 different art boards in the same file. CS4 is scheduled to ship in October.
