Cossette ramps up western division

VANCOUVER—Cossette West has announced several staff promotions. The Western Canadian arm of Cossette Communication Group has appointed Taya Hawes-Puiu to chief marketing officer.

The former vice-president, managing director of Identica – Cossette’s branding and design division – Hawes-Puiu has 15 years of business and branding experience. As CMO she will be in charge of launching Cossette West’s marketing group, responsible for business development and brand management of the Cossette banner on the west coast

“Taya’s passion and proven results in supporting her clients create great brands makes her the perfect choice to grow our own,” said Colin Schleining, executive vice-president of Cossette West, in a released statement.

Hawes-Puiu has been so integral to the Identica team, she requires two replacements.

Stepping in as general manager of Identica is Charlie Easton, an eight-year veteran of Cossette in London and Vancouver, who was most recently Cossette’s group account director for Future Shop.

Also replacing Hawes-Puiu is creative director Nick Richards, who joined Cossette last year. Over his 15-year career, Richards has worked in the Middle East, South Africa and Europe where he worked for communications agency Fitch in London, England. Contact: www.cossette.com
