New swatchbook for FSC-certified linen brand
HAMILTON, OH — Smart Papers has introduced a new swatchbook for its value-priced Nekoosa Linen brand of writing, text and cover printing papers. The brand includes Nekoosa Linen, Nekoosa Bond and Nekoosa 25% Cotton papers.
All Smart Nekoosa-branded papers are FSC certified and contain 30% post-consumer fibers with the exception of FSC-certified virgin Carrara White.
“Linen, cotton and bond writing, text and cover papers continue to play an important role in corporate communication design today,” said Doug Gruber, senior vice president, sales and marketing for Smart Papers in a release. “The Nekoosa brand is a great fit for designers and corporations looking to exercise fiscal responsibility as they demonstrate style, sophistication and environmental responsibility in their communications.”
Smart Papers is currently building a new energy facility at its manufacturing centre that will be fossil-fuel free by late 2009, enabling all of the company’s papers to be fully carbon neutral. The company’s Hamilton manufacturing centre will produce all of its papers using 100% cellulosic biomass, primarily tree, yard and wood waste.
The Nekoosa Linen swatchbook was designed by Beverly Hills-based Douglas Joseph Partners. It is printed on Nekoosa Linen Carrara White 100-lb. cover using four-colour process with spot dull varnish and UV inks.
Nekoosa Linen has 10 choices within a palette of 96-bright whites, creams, grays and rich cover colors. Seven of the colors coordinate with the Smart Papers Solutions and Feltweave brands. Sheets within Nekoosa Linen are suited for all finishing techniques including embossing and foil stamping.
