BURNABY, B.C.—Blok Printing has adopted an environmentally friendly policy to counteract the damage done to forests by the print industry. In addition to putting a chemical-neutralizing plating system in place and using vegetable-based inks, the company recently undertook a project called Paper Tree, a program that donates white pine seedlings to schools, Blok customers and British Columbia forestry projects. On April 22, Earth Day, Blok handed out over 1,000 trees to local schools and community events.

Throughout the rest of the year, Blok will calculate the number of trees it uses in its paper usage and will donate the equivalent amount of seedlings throughout the tree-growing seasons in B.C. Contact: www.blokprinting.com
