TORONTO—At its annual general meeting on April 25th, the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario elected its new president, Lionel Gadoury.
 

Gadoury is principal and director of creative services at Toronto-based design agency Context Creative. He takes over from outgoing president Nicole Vallée of Allegro168 in Ottawa for a two-year term. Gadoury has served as RGD Ontario treasurer for the last three years.

“We are living in extraordinary times,” said Gadoury, in a released statement. “As designers, we are being challenged more than ever to make a genuine difference… As president, I look forward to broadening our reach and engaging an audience that goes beyond designers. And this is our challenge: how can each of us contribute to these efforts and make our influences felt not only by our peers but the world at large?
