New sports and culture marketing agency is hiring
VANCOUVER— Launching last week and touting themselves as Canada’s first integrated sports and culture marketing agency, NG Farrell is focusing on clients who are making a contribution to Canadian society.
Named for its two directors, Callum Ng and Sean Farrell, the company is working with clients such as the B.C. Association of Magazine Publishers and Move: the company, a contemporary dance organization. Both Ng and Farrell have backgrounds both generally in marketing and specifically in sports and culture and believe though times are tough they have a lot to offer clients. “Clients in these sectors are going to have to work even harder to get alternative sources of funding, audiences and programs that are going to appeal to their members,” he says. “The kinds of services we offer are going to help these organizations not only survive, but thrive.”
Farrell says they are currently working with a design director and web developer. He says because they have been fortunate to have great business out of the gate they are looking for creative staff right away. “It is interesting because we have been open for a week and we have three new clients in addition to the ones we started with,” he says. “I am starting to reach out to contacts to collect resumes for creative staff. I think we will be hiring immediately.”
Seeking clients who are focused on reinventing themselves, Farrell says with their market the sky is the limit. “I can see us working with a wide range and number of clients,” he says. “We have someone in Toronto who is working on starting a branch there. We would like to have one in Montreal as well.” Contact: Ngfarrell.com
