ICE award winners announced
HALIFAX—On October 28, Atlantic Canada celebrated the best advertising, marketing and design in the region at the annual ICE Awards gala. Fifty-four ICE awards – which stands for innovation, creativity and enterprise – were handed out.
Among the gold winners in the print categories were Impact Communications of Halifax for its Rock Bottom Brewery logo; Memorial University of Newfoundland for its President's Report 2008; and Halifax's Extreme Group for the public service print campaign it created for the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia.
Revolve of Bedford, N.S., won three golds for packaging, website and integrated campaign for its client, the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation.
And Upstream of St. John's, Nfld., won gold in the non traditional single or campaign category for Mitsubishi.
Target, also of St. John's, Nfld., was the big winner of the night with three golds for its out of home single, media plan and integrated campaign for the Department of Newfoundland & Labrador Tourism, Culture & Recreation. It also won golds for its point of sale campaign for Nonia; its DM campaign for the Canadian Sea Turtle Network; and its out of home campaign for Irving Oil Corporation.
